ABOUT ME

Iam

A GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER

Hello! My name is Jorge and, like the title says, I am a Level and Technical Designer. I grew up in Madrid, where I spent my childhood plotting to, some day, become a game maker. The problem was that, back then, wanting to be a game developer was like wanting to be an astronaut. Nobody would take you seriously!

That didn't affect my motivation, and I trained everyday with games like Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy 7, and many many more, slowly but steadily honing my game skills. After lots of gaming and hard work, a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering and math allowed me to become a game programmer. My passion though, was in making games, scripting creatures, and creating crazy mechanics.

Two years after that first programming job, I graduated from the SMU Guildhall with a Master's in Interactive Technology, and started making games professionally. The Guildhall gave me the opportunity to be that astronaut, the chance to create those games that I dreamed about when I was a kid. And I am still gaming, still learning, and above all, I am dedicated to creating fun experiences that players will remember with a smile.
